I made a big mistake and didn't wait. But just last weekend I went to at True Love Waits Conference! It was great and I learned so much! I learned that it's not just about being sexually pure... It's about commiting your WHOLE life to God. And I also learned that making a committment doesn't include your mistakes from before. B/c God is forgiving and those sins are already forgotten if you ask for them to be. I made a committment to God, myself, my family, my friends, my future mate, and my future children to a lifetime of purity including sexual abstinence from that day until the day I enter a biblical marriage relationship. And it's from that day forward. Like I said, the past doesn't matter anymore. What matters is the future. What matters is that I will be able to tell my future husband, who God has already chosen for me, that I made a committment for HIM on that day. Now I am happy that I did that because I can share me experience with others to lead them closer to the Lord. I hope that my story has related to you in some way. If not then I'm sure there will be many more.
